Koffice 2.1 is released some time ago, a lot of things changed than older versions. By default in openSUSE the old version is available in repositories, You want to install the newer version with regular updates? so here it is how:

1- 1st add the following repository in YaST -> Software Repositories:

http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/KDE4:/Factory:/Desktop/openSUSE_11.2/

2- Now open software management and search for keyword ‘koffice’ without quotes and install it, to make sure it is the latest build, goto version tab after choosing koffice to see whether which version is selected with which architecture.

NOTE: If you already have old version and want to update it to newer version, simply choose koffice and click on “switch system packages“. And click ‘Accept’ button.

And that’s it, simple and easy. Love openSUSE, make the things more easier than before (specially in 11.2).

You can disable the repo after installation, if you don’t want regular factory updates.
